Global Sourcing Manager
A stationary wholesale company is seeking a Global Sourcing Manager to join their procurement team based in Louth.
In the position of Global Sourcing Manager, you will report directly to the Global Procurement Director. You will develop and spearhead global sourcing strategies for goods ranging from raw materials, packaging, logistics contracts, MRO, and IT. You will oversee the negotiation and implementation of commercial contracts across all categories company-wide while creating and maintaining good supplier relationships. As Global Sourcing Manager, you will be required to stay updated with current market trends and dynamics while ensuring key stakeholders are informed of any changes. Your role will require you to liaise with individuals throughout the company, collaborating with cross-functional colleagues as required.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar position within a similar field along with a relevant third-level qualification. It is essential that you have proven global experience in implementing substantial cost reductions in purchasing goods. You will be able to avail of a hybrid working model, working 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday. A competitive salary will be provided dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement individual category cost-saving strategies
- Identify improvements to cost saving across all categories on a global level
- Spearhead strategic sourcing actions
- Remain up to date with specific industry trends and market dynamics
- Update key stakeholders on relevant market intel and the best course of action
- Manage global supplier relationships
- Complete negotiations with an emphasis on commercial terms and conditions, mitigation of risk, delivery, and quality of service
- Complete regular reviews of supplier performance through the application of SLAs, and KPIs
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a Procurement position
- Previous experience in a similar field
- Lean sigma six
- Excellent communication abilities
- Good eye for detail
- Proven experience in negotiating and purchasing goods including raw materials, logistics, MRO, and IT
- Experience in sourcing at a global level
- Robust contract management and negotiation skills
- Working knowledge of Oracle EBS
- Expert level proficiency in MS suite, SRM/SAP, and similar systems
