Buying Administrator
A homeware retail store is seeking a Buying Administrator to join their Dublin-based procurement team.
As Buying Administrator you will oversee all aspects of the purchasing administration for the business. You will process purchase orders while updating the in-house system with product information and new product lines. Your role will require you to address any of the following queries as they come up, including pricing, supplier purchase orders, packaging quality or damages, as well as organising returns and organise supplier credit as required. Additionally, a responsibility for your role will be to track and trace shipments ensuring timely delivery as per the retail schedule. You will check incoming stock against purchase orders ensuring they are correct, also any additional importation or duty fees are correct and paid in a timely fashion.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an administration position, with exposure to purchasing. This is a great opportunity for an administrative professional looking to step into a buying career. You will work an 8-hour shift Monday to Friday and will be able to avail of a hybrid working model once the probationary period is complete.
Responsibilities
- Oversee administration requirements of the purchasing department
- Update supplier pricing lists, new product lines
- Process purchase orders
- Manage any queries relating to pricing and supplier delivery time
- Liaise with the marketing department on promotional offers
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery times, purchase orders, damaged goods, and credit notes
- Track and trace deliveries, guaranteeing delivery as per retail schedule requirements
- Check incoming goods against purchase orders
Requirements
- Previous Administration of 2-3 years
- Experience in purchasing is desired
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Good eye for detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent organisation skills
- Robust communication skills, written and oral
