Materials Coordinator
Aviation company seeking a Materials Coordinator to join their 24-hour shift desk on a permanent basis.
As Materials Coordinator you will oversee the operations and purchasing of parts required for repairs throughout your shift. You will both source the appropriate parts and organise transportation to ensure repairs are complete within the allocated time frame maintaining cost-effectiveness. Additionally, you will maintain clear lines of communication with suppliers, building relationships while also ensuring your orders are processed and delivered within the repair schedule. As Materials Coordinator you will regularly update the in-house stock control system while ensuring all relevant Engineering procedures are maintained throughout.
The ideal candidate will have previous materials coordination experience or come from a finance background where they are comfortable with making significant financial decisions. You will be based in the North Dublin location and will initially train at the 9-5 desk. Following appropriate training, you will proceed to the 24-hour desk where you will work 12-hour shifts, in a 4-on-4-off rotation.
Responsibilities
- Source required spare parts for company fleet
- Organise appropriate means of transport for incoming goods
- Maintain good working relationships with suppliers
- Ensure parts are escalated when necessary and are delivered within the repair schedule
- Ensure all purchasing is completed in a cost-effective manner
- Regularly update stock information on the in-house system
- Ensure all regulations and procedures are compiled with
- Continue to develop your career through education and professional development
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Materials Coordinator, Procurement, or Financial position where responsibilities included the handling of large budgets
- Strong IT proficiency- including Microsoft Excel and Stock Control software
- Relevant qualifications
- Excellent fluency in written and oral English
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts
