Trade Counter Assistant & Counterbalance Operative

A leading player in the distribution and construction sector are on the lookout for a friendly trade counter assistant with a counterbalance license.

The company pride themselves on providing superior customer service and high-quality products to their clients. You will be joining a dynamic team in a busy environment. You will be responsible for locating stock and picking orders for customers arriving at the trade counter.



  • Assist in the daily operations of the trade counter, providing excellent customer service to clientele.
  • Manage the stocking, unpacking, and categorising of goods within the warehouse.
  • Maintain an organized and safe warehouse environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Carry out regular inventory checks, ensuring stock levels are well maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and liaise with suppliers when needed.
  • Assist in loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring products are properly secured.



  • Counterbalance license essential reach license is beneficial
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills with an approachable and friendly manner.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items when required.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse data systems is a plus.
  • A full, clean driving license is a plus.
  • Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
