You will be reporting to the Head of Sourcing, this role offers the chance to work within a central sourcing team, collaborating with colleagues across the business. You’ll play a key role in supporting the procurement of products for own brand and private ranges, gaining valuable experience in sourcing and the wider value chain. You will manage the contract element of the sourcing process and contribute to projects across multiple categories. You’ll learn and apply skills in tendering, negotiation, contracting and strategy development, ensuring products meet the right specifications, are sourced from the best suppliers and deliver maximum value.

 

Responsibilities

• Oversee the contracting process for all products.
• Support tendering, negotiation and contracting activities to secure high-quality products from the right suppliers at the most competitive cost.
• Contribute to identifying and implementing cost-effective solutions.
• Assist in managing category-specific projects through all stages of the tender process, ensuring delivery of products that meet quality and cost objectives.
• Drive process improvement by constructively challenging existing practices to create a simpler, faster and more efficient business model.
• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers, both existing and new.
• Analyse market intelligence and monitor supplier and competitor trends to optimise sourcing strategies.
• Help develop annual savings budgets for assigned categories and provide regular performance updates against targets.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, standards and processes.

 

Requirements

• Experience in Sourcing, Procurement or Business.
• Understanding of product manufacturing.
• Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.
• Attention to detail, ability to prioritise, comfortable with figures and in collecting, analysing and interpreting data.
• Openness and ability to work in cross divisional & cross functional teams.
• Positive mindset with a can-do attitude.
