Warehouse Forklift Operative

Leading logistics company based in Blanchardstown are searching for a warehouse operative, you must hold valid licenses of both reach truck and counterbalance forklifts. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an immediate start, provided you have the necessary experience.

Your duties will include operating the reach truck to pick products from high-level locations and using the counterbalance forklift to load and unload products. Additionally, you will support the goods in department by receiving stock and ensuring its accurate receipt of goods, while using SAP warehouse management systems. You will also be expected to assist the outbound section to pick & pack orders in a timely and efficient manner. As a warehouse operative, you will be responsible to adhere to all health and safety policies.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily forklift truck inspections, promptly reporting any damage or issues affecting safe operation.
• Operate the reach truck to assist with replenishments, put away and general picking activities.
• Use the counterbalance forklift in both warehouse and yard to unload and load incoming and outgoing vehicles.
• Actively promote and adhere to health and safety protocols, taking responsibility for your own safety.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as and when required such as picking, packing, inventory control tasks such as cycle counts etc.

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating counterbalance and reach trucks in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Valid counterbalance forklift license required.
• Reach forklift license essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Manual handling certification (required).
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Valid B license a distinct advantage.
