Warehouse Supervisor

Well-known distributor based in Carlow is currently seeking a motivated warehouse supervisor who is ready to take the next step into a warehouse manager position. This is a terrific opportunity to take full responsibility of managing all warehouse operations. The position offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule, with some flexibility required to meet operational demands.

In this hands-on role, you will lead a team, provide strong day-to-day guidance while demonstrate your experience in managing warehouse operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all warehouse activities which will include managing both inbound and outbound sections in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

You will have experience using SAP with the ability to manage inventory, track goods movement, and generate reports efficiently. Forklift experience is highly advantageous, as it supports the hands-on nature of the role and contributes to operational flexibility.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily warehouse operations to ensure accurate order fulfilment.
• Lead and develop a team of warehouse operatives.
• Implement and maintain health and safety standards across the warehouse.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
• Use warehouse management systems (SAP) to track inventory and workflow.
• Collaborate with transport, customer service, and supply chain teams to optimise workflow.
• Consult with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations and service delivery.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes for warehouse operations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer-focused logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and computer literacy skills, including SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Familiarity with KPI tracking and generating reports such as budgets and costs.
• Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Forklift Certificates a distinct advantage.
• Relevant qualifications in logistics and supply chain management. (Highly desirable).
