Warehouse Team Lead

Dynamic and expanding online retailer is seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Team Lead to join their expanding operation. They are looking for someone who brings strong leadership, excellent communication skills and a hands‑on approach to managing a busy warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, confident in overseeing teams, in addition to being committed to maintaining high standards of productivity, safety and workflow efficiency. A valid Counterbalance forklift licence is essential, enabling you to support daily operations when required, while a man‑up forklift licence is desirable.

You will thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced warehouse environment where your contribution is valued. You will take ownership of team performance, daily workload planning, staff coaching & continuous process improvement, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and the efficient operation of the department. You will manage staff productivity, oversee Health & Safety compliance and handle any issues or queries with professionalism. Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the day‑to‑day running of the warehouse
• Managing order volumes, pick-rates and team productivity
• Leading, coaching and developing warehouse staff
• Ensuring all areas are adequately resourced and running efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety across the warehouse
• Working cross‑functionally with internal teams to deliver exceptional service
• Handling queries or complaints professionally and escalating when required
• Identifying issues, risks and process bottlenecks and implementing improvements
• Supporting warehouse operations when needed, including forklift operation

Requirements:

• 2–3 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisor or team lead role
• A counterbalance licence is essential; a man‑up licence is considered an advantage.
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage staff productivity and daily workflow
• Experience managing Health & Safety procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Reliable, organised and proactive with strong problem‑solving ability
• Positive attitude and the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Flexibility to support a variety of warehouse duties when required
