Senior Fulfilment Operations Lead

Leading organisation within the Irish B2B supply chain sector is seeking a to take full operational responsibility for a high-volume distribution facility in West Dublin. This pivotal leadership role oversees warehousing, inventory management, outbound distribution, workforce performance and site compliance, ensuring seamless day-to-day execution aligned with broader commercial objectives.

This appointment requires an experienced distribution or warehouse leader who thrives in fast-paced operational environments and can balance service excellence with cost efficiency. The successful candidate will drive operational stability while embedding a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate business strategy into measurable operational KPIs are essential.

The role offers significant scope to influence operational performance, lead transformation initiatives and support sustainable growth. A proactive, hands-on leadership style combined with strong analytical capability will be key to success in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day fulfilment and warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely order processing and dispatch
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and service performance
• Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring stock accuracy and minimising discrepancies
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) including OTIF, pick accuracy, order cycle time, and labour productivity
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
• Manage and develop a team of supervisors and warehouse operatives, fostering a high-performance culture
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate with transport and logistics partners to optimise outbound delivery performance
• Manage budgets, labour planning, and resource allocation to achieve cost control targets
• Implement and optimise warehouse management systems (WMS) and operational reporting tools
• Lead cross-functional projects to support business growth and operational scalability
• Identify risks within the fulfilment operation and implement mitigation strategies

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior fulfilment, warehouse, or distribution leadership role
• Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, and inventory management principles
• Demonstrated experience managing large operational teams in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive performance improvements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Track record of delivering operational efficiency and cost-saving initiatives
• Knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations within warehousing and logistics
• Financial awareness with experience managing operational budgets
• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related discipline preferred
