Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Global leader in paints and protective coatings distribution is seeking a motivated and skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their established warehouse team. This is a Monday to Friday position offering the opportunity to work within a well‑structured, supportive environment where efficiency, teamwork and attention to detail are highly valued. Applicants must hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift licence and an in‑date Manual Handling Certificate. A Bendi licence is advantageous but not essential.

You will play a central role in daily warehouse operations. Your duties will include operating the counterbalance forklift to move and store stock safely, receiving deliveries, preparing orders for dispatch, building pallets and maintaining accurate stock records through handheld scanners or basic warehouse systems. You will also be responsible for ensuring products are handled correctly and always stored in the appropriate locations.

You will work closely with the wider warehouse team to keep operations running smoothly, avoid delays and ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and on schedule. Maintaining a safe, well‑organised workspace will be essential, including keeping aisles clear, reporting damaged stock and following site procedures. Responsibilities:

• Operate the counterbalance forklift safely to move, load and store products throughout the warehouse.
• Receive, inspect and correctly locate incoming goods to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Build, wrap and secure pallets while ensuring all loads meet site safety standards.
• Use handheld scanners or basic warehouse systems to maintain precise stock records and track product movements.
• Support overall warehouse workflow by coordinating with colleagues to avoid delays and keep operations running smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment by keeping aisles clear, reporting damaged stock and following all site procedures.

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence.
• In‑date Manual Handling Certificate.
• A Bendi licence is preferable but not essential.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is an advantage.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
• Good communication skills and a reliable, team‑focused attitude.
