Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Customer‑focused nationwide tools and engineering distributor is on the lookout for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join its Dublin operation. Specialising in the supply of high‑quality tools and equipment, the business is seeking someone who enjoys hands‑on, practical work and takes pride in contributing to a smooth and efficient warehouse operation.

This role is central to the day‑to‑day running of the warehouse and offers plenty of variety. You will be hands‑on, reliable and safety‑focused, thriving in a fast‑paced environment where accuracy and teamwork are essential. You will be responsible for loading and unloading inbound and outbound trucks using a counterbalance forklift, as well as placing pallets into racking locations and retrieving stock using a reach forklift. You will pick and pack customer orders accurately, handling a wide range of tools, engineering products and consumables to meet daily dispatch schedules.

You’ll be required to support goods‑in activities, assisting with stock control, moving stock within the warehouse and carrying out general warehouse duties to ensure operations run smoothly. You will work closely with colleagues, follow health and safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organised and well‑run warehouse that supports nationwide distribution.

Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading inbound and outbound trucks using a counterbalance forklift
• Putting pallets away into racking and retrieving stock using a reach forklift
• Picking and packing customer orders accurately for dispatch
• Moving stock within the warehouse to support daily operations
• Assisting with goods‑in, stock checks and inventory control
• Handling a wide range of tools, engineering products and consumables
• Supporting general warehouse duties to keep operations running smoothly
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

• A valid counterbalance forklift licence (essential)
• Reach forklift licence or experience is desirable but not essential
• Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Experience loading and unloading trucks and handling palletised goods
• Comfortable working at height when using racking systems (reach forklift)
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Good attention to detail and accuracy when picking and packing orders
• A reliable, punctual and proactive approach to work
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
