Working Hours Mon – Thur 11:00 – 20:00 Fri 12:00 – 20:00

Warehouse Team Leader

Excellent opportunity available for a driven Warehouse Team Leader to take on a key role within a high‑volume distribution operation. Based in a modern warehouse setting, this role supports a fast‑moving afternoon shift where strong organisation, pace and leadership are key.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced warehouse supervisor or team leader who is confident leading people while remaining hands‑on when required. A strong focus on operational standards, Health & Safety compliance and continuous improvement is essential, along with a calm, solutions‑focused approach. A valid Counterbalance forklift licence is required, with Man‑Up forklift experience a strong advantage.

You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and existing leadership team to support the smooth running of the afternoon warehouse operation within a busy distribution environment. You will supervise day‑to‑day activities on shift, coordinating a team of approximately 25 warehouse operatives, allocating workloads and ensuring tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and on time.

You will work alongside an existing Team Leader, setting clear expectations and lead by example to maintain high standards across performance, attendance and Health & Safety. While this is a leadership role, you will remain comfortable providing hands‑on operational support when required, including assisting with warehouse duties and forklift operation, while collaborating closely with colleagues on site and across the wider operation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and support a team of warehouse operatives on the afternoon shift
• Set clear expectations and lead by example to maintain high standards of performance and attendance
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Coordinate daily workloads and support efficient workflow across the operation
• Provide hands‑on operational support when required, including warehouse tasks and forklift operation
• Work closely with the existing Team Leader, Warehouse Manager and wider site team
• Contribute to continuous improvement and support a positive, well‑organised working environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team‑leader role
• Strong people‑management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• Valid Counterbalance forklift licence (essential)
• Man‑Up forklift experience (strong advantage)
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations and Health & Safety standards
• Willingness to remain hands‑on and support daily operations when required
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment
• Confident using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems
• Reliable, organised and solutions‑focused with good communication skills
