Artic Driver (C+E)
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Artic (C+E) Driver to join a well-established transport operation specialising in nationwide deliveries. The role offers consistent work across five days over seven, with a strong focus on reliability, efficiency, and driver support. Routes are pre-planned and vary in duration, providing a mix of shorter and longer runs while ensuring fair and guaranteed pay.
Drivers will be operating modern right-hand drive trucks across Irish roads, completing country runs with start times ranging from 19:00 to 20:00 depending on the assigned route. While some routes may take approximately four hours to complete, a minimum of six hours’ pay is guaranteed per shift, ensuring stability in earnings regardless of route duration. This role is ideally suited to drivers who are confident working independently, comfortable with night driving and capable of maintaining high safety and performance standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining delivery schedules and upholding service levels. A strong understanding of Irish road networks, combined with the ability to manoeuvre vehicles safely in tight spaces such as loading bays, is essential. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to compliance regulations including tachograph usage and CPC requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Complete scheduled nationwide deliveries in a timely and efficient manner
- Operate an artic (C+E) vehicle in compliance with all road safety and transport regulations
- Carry out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects promptly
- Reverse and manoeuvre vehicles safely into loading bays and delivery points
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are accurately recorded and documented
- Adhere to tachograph rules and working time directives at all times
- Maintain high standards of customer service when interacting at delivery locations
- Follow assigned routes while adapting to road and traffic conditions as required
- Ensure cargo is transported securely and safely
Requirements:
- Full EU C+E (Artic) Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Proven experience driving right-hand steer trucks
- Demonstrated experience driving on the left-hand side of the road
- Ability to pass a driving assessment as part of the recruitment process
- Strong reversing skills, particularly when docking at loading bays
- Good knowledge of Irish road networks and transport routes
- Flexibility to work 5 days over 7, including evening and night shifts
- Strong awareness of safety, compliance, and vehicle care
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
