Counterbalance Forklift Driver
Counterbalance Forklift Operator is required for a nationwide specialist component distributor based in Dublin 12. This is a warehouse-based position supporting the efficient handling and movement of stock within a busy distribution operation.
The company supplies technical components to customers throughout Ireland and operates from a well-organised, structured warehouse facility. This role is central to maintaining smooth day‑to‑day warehouse operations in a fast‑paced but controlled environment.
You will be responsible for the receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of goods, as well as operating the counterbalance forklift as required. You will use warehouse systems and follow established procedures to ensure stock is handled, stored and moved correctly.
You will work closely with the warehouse team, support general warehouse duties when required and help maintain a clean, safe and efficient working environment. A reliable, proactive attitude and a strong commitment to health and safety are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of goods
- Safe and efficient operation of counterbalance forklift
- Use of warehouse management systems to record and control stock movements
- Adherence to established procedures to ensure correct handling and storage of stock
- Support of general warehouse duties as required
- Close collaboration with warehouse colleagues to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations
- Maintenance of a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence
- Reach forklift licence or experience an advantage, but not essential
- Valid manual handling certificate (required)
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced setting
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling
- Familiarity with warehouse systems and procedures
- Reliable, proactive and team‑oriented approach
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
