Counterbalance Forklift Operator

Counterbalance Forklift Operator needed for a leading distribution company in the paint and coatings industry. This is a fantastic chance to become part of a busy, high-performing environment known for its strong standards and commitment to quality. All applicants must hold a valid counterbalance forklift licence and an up-to-date manual handling certificate, along with demonstrable warehouse experience and a good understanding of safe and effective stock control.

You’ll play a central role in the warehouse, ensuring operations run smoothly. From receiving deliveries and inspecting goods to storing them accurately, you’ll help keep everything running efficiently. You’ll handle picking and dispatch duties with precision and speed, monitor inventory levels and identify any potential issues early. Maintaining a tidy, organised and safe workspace will be key, helping to uphold the high standards expected across the operation.

You’ll also provide valuable support to customers, assisting with orders, responding to queries and helping with preparation where required. You’ll handle all materials safely and confidently, react quickly to problems and contribute to keeping the operation running efficiently each day. By working closely with colleagues, suppliers and customers, you’ll help deliver a consistent, high-quality service at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Load and unload deliveries
• Pick and dispatch orders
• Check and store stock

• Keep warehouse clean and organised
• Follow health & safety rules
• Assist with customer orders
• Report issues or damages
• Work as part of the team

Requirements:

• Valid counterbalance forklift licence
• Manual handling certificate
• Previous warehouse experience
• Good stock handling knowledge
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good teamwork skills
• Reliable and punctual
