Counterbalance & Reach Forklift Operator

Nationwide specialist component distributor based in South Dublin is seeking an experienced Counterbalance & Reach Forklift Operator to join its warehouse team. This is a hands-on role within a busy and well-organised distribution environment, supporting the efficient handling and movement of stock.

The company supplies technical components to customers throughout Ireland and operates from a structured, professionally managed warehouse facility. This position is integral to ensuring the smooth day-to-day flow of operations in a fast-paced setting.

You will be responsible for storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods, while safely operating both counterbalance and reach forklifts as required. You will also be expected to use warehouse management systems and follow established procedures to ensure stock is handled and stored accurately.

You will work closely with colleagues, assist with general warehouse duties when needed and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe and efficient workplace. A reliable, proactive attitude and a strong commitment to health and safety are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and store incoming stock
• Put stock away into designated warehouse locations
• Pick, pack and dispatch finished products accurately
• Operate warehouse management systems to record stock movements
• Move goods safely using counterbalance and reach forklifts
• Maintain a clean, tidy and well‑organised warehouse
• Assist with general warehouse duties as required
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Valid counterbalance and reach forklift licences
• Experience with receiving, storing and dispatching stock
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Reliable, hardworking and trustworthy approach to work
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
