Salary: €16.00 per hour
Duration: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Dublin 15, North Dublin
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Counterbalance Forklift Operator

Leading freight and logistics company based in Dublin 15 is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join a busy warehouse operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious warehouse professional looking for long-term, stable employment within a fast-paced freight environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods throughout the warehouse. Working as part of an experienced operations team, you will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles, transporting palletised freight safely and supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in maintaining high safety standards and is committed to delivering excellent operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload articulated trailers and delivery vehicles.
• Move palletised freight to designated warehouse locations.
• Assist with goods receiving, checking deliveries, and dispatch operations.
• Ensure all freight is handled carefully to minimise damage.
• Complete warehouse duties including stock movement and pallet organisation.
• Carry out daily forklift safety checks and report any defects immediately.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and warehouse regulations.
• Support colleagues during busy operational periods.
• Assist with manual handling duties where required.
• Ensure customer freight is processed accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift within a warehouse or freight environment.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to assist with general warehouse duties when required.
