Rigid Driver (Full C Licence)
Opportunity for an experienced Rigid Driver (Full EU Category C Licence) to join a well-established food and beverage distribution company based in North Dublin. The role involves multi-drop deliveries to bars, restaurants, cafés, and hospitality customers throughout Dublin and surrounding areas.
The position is physically demanding and requires a driver who is comfortable with repeated lifting, carrying, and manual handling duties. Drivers can expect to complete approximately 10-15 deliveries per day, with each day presenting different routes and customer requirements. As a representative of the company, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include safely operating a rigid vehicle, organising and sequencing deliveries, completing scheduled drops efficiently, providing professional customer service, handling goods manually and maintaining accurate delivery documentation.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a rigid vehicle in accordance with road traffic legislation and company procedures
- Organise and sequence deliveries before leaving the depot each morning
- Complete deliveries across Dublin and surrounding areas
- Follow numbered drop schedules accurately and efficiently
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at delivery locations
- Lift, carry, pull and manoeuvre boxes from the truck into customer premises
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and proof of delivery
Requirements
- Full EU Category C driving licence
- Valid CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
- Experience driving a right-hand steer vehicle on the left-hand side of the road
- Experience driving in Ireland, the UK or another left-side driving country preferred
- Strong understanding of road safety and compliance requirements
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
