Role: Artic Driver (Full EU CE Licence)
Salary: €19.50 per hour
Duration: Monday to Friday – 2:00pm start
Location: Dublin
Benefits : Meal allowance €16.29 per shift, €25 for shifts exceeding 10 hours.
Artic Driver
Opportunity for an experienced Artic Driver to join one of Irelands leading fuel suppliers operating in Dublin. This afternoon shift role involves picking up your truck in Malahide collecting fuel from Dublin port and delivering to designated depots across the region using rigid-bodied vehicle with an attached trailer.
Working Monday to Friday with a 2:00om start time, the successful candidate can expect shifts of approximately 10 hours. this position is ideally suited to a professional driver with ADR certification who is comfortable operating articulated or rigid and trailer combinations in a safety focused environment.
The ideal candidate will hold a valid ADR licence, CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card. Previous experience operating articulated vehicle or rigid vehicles with trailers is preferred, while fuel delivery experience would be a distinct advantage. Strong attention to safety reliability and a professional approach are essential in this role.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate an articulated vehicle and trailer in accordance with road traffic legislation, ADR regulations, and company policies.
- Collect fuel loads from Dublin Port and transport them to designated depots across the region.
- Conduct daily vehicle, trailer, and safety equipment checks before and after each shift.
- Ensure the safe loading, transportation, and delivery of fuel products in line with all hazardous goods procedures.
- Complete deliveries efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
- Follow planned routes and delivery schedules to meet operational requirements.
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork, load documentation, and electronic records as required.
- Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report any defects, incidents, or maintenance issues.
- Adhere to driver hours regulations and maintain accurate tachograph records.
- Maintain clear communication with transport planners, depot personnel, and port staff.
- Ensure all ADR, CPC, and transport compliance requirements are consistently met.
- Deliver a professional and courteous service when interacting with customers, depot staff, and colleagues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of both vehicle and trailer.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and promote a strong safety-first culture at all times.
- Secure fuel loads correctly and carry out all relevant safety checks throughout the delivery process.
Requirements
- Full EU Category CE driving licence
- Valid CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
- Experience driving a right-hand steer vehicle on the left-hand side of the road
- Experience operating artic/rigid with trailer vehicle
- Strong understanding of road safety and compliance requirements
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
