Opportunity for an experienced Rigid Driver to join a well-established logistics company based in Park West, Dublin. The company specialises in the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods on behalf of a wide range of commercial clients across Ireland.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll complete a combination of multi-drop deliveries and collections across Dublin, alongside occasional nationwide routes. You'll enjoy the independence of being out on the road while being backed by a supportive transport team that understands the realities of the job.

Drivers must be confident operating a curtain-side rigid vehicle, as this forms a key part of the role. Experience opening and securing curtain-sided vehicles safely is essential.

At most customer sites, loading and unloading will be carried out by the customer's forklift operator. However, where this service is not available, the driver will be responsible for completing deliveries and collections using the vehicle's tail lift and a manual pallet truck. As such, drivers should be comfortable handling palletised goods when required while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a rigid curtain-side vehicle for deliveries and collections.
• Transport and distribute goods on behalf of a diverse range of commercial clients.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries and collections across Dublin and nationwide locations.
• Ensure goods are delivered and collected accurately, efficiently and on schedule.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Liaise professionally with customers and warehouse personnel during deliveries and collections.
• Use the vehicle's tail lift and a manual pallet truck to load or unload goods when forklift assistance is not available on-site.
•  Accurately complete delivery documentation and obtain proof of delivery where required.

Requirements

• Full EU Category C driving licence
• Valid CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
• Experience operating a curtain-side rigid truck
• Good spoken and written English
• Good customer service and communication skills.
