A well-established logistics company based in Park West, Dublin, is seeking a professional and dependable Rigid Driver to join its growing transport team. Operating across transport, warehousing, and distribution, the company supports a diverse portfolio of commercial clients throughout Ireland, keeping businesses moving and customers satisfied.

This is far from a "same route, different day" position. One morning you may be completing multi-drop deliveries across Dublin, and the next you could be heading further afield on a nationwide run. A key aspect of the role is the operation of a curtain-sided rigid vehicle, so confidence and previous experience opening, securing, and safely managing curtain-sided loads are essential.

While most loading and unloading duties are handled by customers' forklift operators, there will be occasions when you'll need to roll up your sleeves and take charge. Using the vehicle's tail lift and a manual pallet truck, you'll safely complete deliveries and collections of palletised goods while maintaining exceptional standards of customer service and health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a rigid curtain-side vehicle for deliveries and collections.
• Transport and distribute goods on behalf of a diverse range of commercial clients.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries and collections across Dublin and nationwide locations.
• Ensure goods are delivered and collected accurately, efficiently and on schedule.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Liaise professionally with customers and warehouse personnel during deliveries and collections.
• Use the vehicle's tail lift and a manual pallet truck to load or unload goods when forklift assistance is not available on-site.
• Accurately complete delivery documentation and obtain proof of delivery where required.
• Using a tail lift and manual pallet truck when required.
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

Requirements

• Full EU Category C driving licence
• Valid CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
• Experience operating a curtain-side rigid truck
• Good spoken and written English
• Good customer service and communication skills.
