Based in Park West, Dublin, our client is a well-established transport, warehousing, and distribution provider, supporting a wide range of commercial customers across Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a reliable and professional Rigid Driver to join their transport team. This role offers a diverse workload, with a mix of multi-drop deliveries throughout Dublin and nationwide deliveries and collections. No two days are the same, making this an excellent opportunity for drivers who enjoy both local and long-distance driving while working as part of a supportive and experienced transport operation.

A key requirement of the position is experience operating a curtain-sided rigid vehicle. Candidates should be confident in opening, securing and managing curtain-sided loads safely and efficiently. While loading and unloading is often completed by customer forklift operators, there will be occasions where the successful candidate will be responsible for deliveries and collections using the vehicle's tail lift and manual pallet truck.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a rigid curtain-side vehicle for deliveries and collections.
• Transport and distribute goods on behalf of a diverse range of commercial clients.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries and collections across Dublin and nationwide locations.
• Ensure goods are delivered and collected accurately, efficiently and on schedule.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Liaise professionally with customers and warehouse personnel during deliveries and collections.
• Use the vehicle's tail lift and a manual pallet truck to load or unload goods when forklift assistance is not available on-site.
• Accurately complete delivery documentation and obtain proof of delivery where required.
• Using a tail lift and manual pallet truck when required.
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

Requirements

• Full EU Category C driving licence
• Valid CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
• Experience operating a curtain-side rigid truck
• Good spoken and written English
• Good customer service and communication skills.
