Job Description

Role: Artic HGV Driver (Full EU C Licence)

Duration: Permanent

Location: Waterford County

Artic HGV Driver

Join a highly respected transport, logistics, and distribution operation in Waterford as an Artic HGV Driver (Full CE Licence) and become part of a professional team delivering essential goods across Ireland.

This position offers far more than a traditional driving role. Working with a modern, well-maintained fleet, you will complete scheduled movements between warehouses, supplier facilities, and distribution centres nationwide. With structured routes, expert transport planning support, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance, you can focus on what you do best: delivering a reliable and professional service.

Unlike demanding multidrop roles, this opportunity centres on warehouse-to-warehouse and distribution centre deliveries, providing a more streamlined and predictable working day. Start times typically fall between 5:00 am and 7:00 am, and drivers return home each evening, with no overnight stays or nights spent in the vehicle. Competitive earnings with opportunities to increase your income through overtime, weekend work, and public holiday shifts.

The successful candidate will take pride in delivering goods safely, efficiently, and professionally while maintaining the highest standards of road safety, customer service, and transport compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate articulated HGV vehicles on scheduled routes throughout Ireland
  • Transport goods between warehouse locations, supplier facilities and distribution centres
  • Complete proof of delivery documentation and transport paperwork accurately
  • Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule
  • Maintain compliance with RSA regulations, Driver CPC requirements and digital tachograph legislation
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
  • Assist with loading and unloading activities when required
  • Communicate effectively with transport planners and operational teams
  • Maintain professional standards of customer service and representation at collection and delivery points

Requirements

  • Full valid CE (Artic) driving licence
  • Minimum six months' articulated driving experience on Irish roads
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification
  • Up-to-date digital tachograph card
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Ability to complete PODs and transport documentation accurately
  • Strong understanding of road safety and transport compliance requirements
  • Flexible approach to working hours and occasional weekend cover
  • Existing right to live and work in Ireland
