Production Operative
Well-established manufacturing company based in Rathcoole is seeking a skilled and reliable Production Operative to join its growing team. This position plays a vital role in daily operations, requiring a qualified individual with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate and proficiency in manual handling. The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong communication skills in English and have experience using computer systems to support production processes.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently supporting production activities, including the movement of materials, stock checks, and ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently maintained. Responsibilities:
- Operate a counterbalance forklift truck safely and effectively in line with company procedures
- Support all production and warehouse activities including picking, packing, and loading materials
- Conduct manual handling tasks in accordance with safety guidelines
- Perform stock control and inventory checks accurately using digital systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the production area
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to meet daily production targets
- Document tasks and update job tracking systems using computers
Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate
- Manual handling experience with a solid understanding of health and safety practices
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Good working knowledge of computer systems and ability to record production activity
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
- Flexible and proactive approach to tasks
