You will be a proactive and well-organised individual with previous experience in coordination and purchasing. You will be responsible for managing stock levels to ensure material availability, coordinating batching and scheduling. You will also be overseeing the purchasing and logistics of materials and transport. You’ll be working closely with production and project teams to align supply with timelines. You will be ensuring compliance with quality standards and supporting improvements in inventory and purchasing processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all products.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder materials based on production needs.
- Conduct regular stock audits and resolve any discrepancies.
- Optimise material usage to reduce waste.
- Source materials from approved suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times and delivery terms to ensure best value.
- Raise purchase orders and track deliveries to maintain supply continuity.
- Arrange transport and delivery of materials to and from site.
- Coordinate with hauliers to ensure materials arrive according to schedule
Requirements
- Experience in materials coordination, purchasing or inventory management
- Familiarity with operations and batching processes is an advantage.
- Experience using software.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
