Counterbalance Forklift Driver

 

Leader in specialised components is seeking an experienced and motivated Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their busy and supportive warehouse team in Clondalkin. With over 1,000 products moving through the site, the environment is steady, structured and run by a tight‑knit crew who work collaboratively to ensure operations run efficiently. 

 

This is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, with some flexibility when required. You will operate a counterbalance forklift daily, moving and positioning pallets safely throughout the warehouse while supporting the flow of stock across the site. You will handle order fulfilment end‑to‑end, including picking and packing customer orders with accuracy, preparing outbound shipments and ensuring all dispatches are completed on schedule. You will also take responsibility for processing incoming deliveries, completing put away, maintaining well‑organised storage locations and assisting with regular stock counts to support overall inventory accuracy. 

 

You will play an active role in loading and unloading vehicles, updating the warehouse and dispatch system to record stock movements and ensuring the warehouse remains clean, safe and always well‑organised. In addition, you will support technical elements of the operation, including product assembly, with full training provided. Collaboration is key in this role and you will work closely with a small, supportive team to ensure daily operations run efficiently.

 

Responsibilities

  • Operate a counterbalance forklift to safely lift, move and position pallets throughout the warehouse. 
  • Accurately pick, pack and organise customer orders using pick lists. 
  • Store incoming goods in the correct locations and help maintain tidy, well‑organised work environment 
  • Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring all materials are handled efficiently and with care. 
  • Update warehouse and dispatch systems to record stock movements and order progress. 
  • Prepare outbound shipments to ensure all orders are dispatched correctly and on time. 
  • Support overall stock flow by helping keep inventory organised and easy to access. 
  • Assist with light assembly work when needed to support broader warehouse operations. 
  • Uphold strong standards of cleanliness, safety and general warehouse organisation. 
  • Work closely with a small team to keep daily operations running smoothly and efficiently.

 

Requirements

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence with hands‑on experience in a warehouse setting. 
  • Previous warehouse experience in picking, packing, goods‑in/out or dispatch. 
  • Ability to work accurately from pick sheets and follow established warehouse procedures. 
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure correct order preparation and dispatch. 
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to high work standards. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑moving warehouse with a broad range of products
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a small team. 
  • Good organisational and time‑management skills. 
  • Basic IT skills for updating warehouse or dispatch systems. 
  • Full driving licence preferred.
