Counterbalance Forklift Driver

 

Dynamic warehouse and logistics operation in Ballymount is currently seeking a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their team on a full‑time, permanent basis. This is a stable, long‑term opportunity within a company that values reliability, teamwork and doing things the right way.

 

To be considered, candidates must hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence, an up‑to‑date Manual Handling Certificate, and a minimum of a Provisional driving licence. The role includes working every second Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm, paid at time and a half.

 

You will enjoy a varied and active role, combining counterbalance forklift driving with yard movements and general warehouse support. Working across goods‑in, storage and dispatch, you will handle a broad range of materials and play a key role in keeping day‑to‑day operations running smoothly and efficiently.

 

You will be responsible for the safe and accurate operation of a counterbalance forklift, including loading and unloading vehicles, moving and positioning stock, and supporting both warehouse and yard activities as required. Attention to detail, care in handling materials and a strong focus on safety will be central to your work.

 

You will also contribute to maintaining a clean, organised and safety‑compliant working environment, supporting stock organisation and dispatch preparation while following all health and safety procedures. As part of a dependable team, you will take pride in doing the job properly and supporting the overall success of the operation.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently 
• Load and unload delivery vehicles in both warehouse and yard areas 
• Move, position and store materials accurately 
• Support goods‑in, stock movement and dispatch activities 
• Handle a variety of products with care and attention to detail 
• Assist with general warehouse and yard duties as required 
• Maintain a clean, organised and safety‑compliant working environment 
• Follow all health & safety procedures and site rules

 

 

Requirements

 

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential) 
• Manual Handling Certificate up to date 
• Minimum of a Provisional driving licence (required for insurance) 
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or yard environment 
• Confident operating a counterbalance forklift in busy surroundings 
• Comfortable with hands‑on, physical work 
• Strong awareness of health & safety procedures 
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team 
• Available to work every second Saturday as required
