Warehouse and Yard Operative needed for a busy trade supply operation based in Tallaght. The business services trade customers daily and operates at high volume with a strong focus on efficiently picking loading and dispatching materials across the site. All applicants must hold a valid counterbalance forklift licence and manual handling certificate.

 

The role involves working across both the warehouse and outdoor yard alongside a team of seven operatives. Working hours are Monday to Friday on either a 7:00am–4:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm shift based on site requirements for a 39‑hour week. Overtime is available including every second Saturday from 8:00am to 12:30pm paid at time and a half.

 

You will be involved in the day to day movement of materials across the warehouse and yard. You will pick customer orders from order sheets prepare materials for collection and load customer and company vehicles. Work is split between warehouse picking and yard picking and requires regular manual handling throughout the day.

 

You will load building materials and related products either manually or using a counterbalance forklift. You will deal directly with trade customers on site ensuring orders are picked correctly vehicles are loaded efficiently and work flows smoothly through the yard during busy periods.

 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

• Pick customer orders accurately from order sheets provided by the office
• Load and unload building materials and other heavy items onto customer and company vehicles
• Operate a counterbalance forklift to move stock around the yard and warehouse
• Prepare orders for customer collection and internal deliveries
• Work across both the warehouse and outdoor yard areas as required
• Deal directly with trade customers during collections ensuring correct materials are issued
• Maintain a safe clean and organised working environment
• Support the wider yard and warehouse team during busy periods

 

 

Requirements:

 

• Previous experience working in a warehouse yard or trade supply environment
• Valid counterbalance forklift licence
• Manual handling certificate
• Ability to work in both warehouse and outdoor yard settings
• Comfortable dealing directly with trade customers in a busy environment
• Good level of physical fitness to handle manual tasks across the shift
• Strong attention to detail when picking and loading customer orders
• Reliable punctual and able to work as part of a team
