Counterbalance Forklift Operative
Experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operative required for a bespoke manufacturing and shopfitting company based in Dublin 24. This is a hands-on role within a busy workshop environment, supporting the movement, organisation and preparation of custom-built products across multiple live projects.
The company produces high-quality, made-to-order items rather than high-volume goods, operating with a skilled and long-standing team of cabinet makers and operatives. The environment is practical, team-focused and varied, with a strong emphasis on flexibility and willingness to assist wherever required.
You will be responsible for managing materials on the factory floor, moving large panels and finished products and preparing goods for dispatch. You will also be required from time to time to complete deliveries and collections using a company vehicle, playing a key part in ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
You will thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. This role will suit someone who takes real pride in keeping a workspace organised, enjoys physical work and values being part of a close-knit, hardworking team where everyone supports each other to get the job done.
Responsibilities:
- Move and organise materials across the factory floor
- Handle large sheets and bulky items safely (manual handling required)
- Load finished goods onto pallets for dispatch
- Support delivery and collection activities as required
- Operate forklift when needed (shared responsibility within team)
- Drive company vehicle for deliveries and collections
- Assist across multiple live projects simultaneously
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
- Support general workshop duties as required
- Follow all health & safety procedures
Requirements:
- Full clean driving licence (essential)
- Counterbalance Forklift License
- Manual handling certificate
- Good awareness of space management and safe material movement
- Experience in a factory, workshop or similar environment preferred
- Reliable, flexible and hands-on approach
- Ability to work well within a team
