Salary: €18 to €20 per hour

Location: Kingswood, Dublin 22

Hours: 07:30 – 16:30, Monday to Friday

Yard Operative

Long-standing supplier within the construction and building materials sector is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join its operation in Kingswood, Dublin 22. Working within a fast-paced environment that handles a variety of heavy materials, they are looking for an individual who takes pride in working safely, maintaining high standards and contributing positively to a team-focused workplace.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in an active environment and understands the importance of accuracy and efficiency in keeping operations running smoothly. As a key member of the warehouse and yard team, you will play an important role in the movement and loading of heavy materials. You will help ensure customer orders are prepared accurately, deliveries are loaded safely and stock is organised effectively throughout the site. Your attention to detail, commitment to health and safety, and willingness to support colleagues across the operation will make a valuable contribution to the overall success of the business and help maintain the high standards their customers have come to expect.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently throughout the yard and warehouse.
• Load and unload vehicles carrying heavy materials.
• Move, organise and store stock in designated locations.
• Assist with the preparation and loading of customer orders.
• Carry out routine forklift and equipment checks, reporting any issues promptly.
• Support stock control activities and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Ensure materials are handled carefully to minimise damage.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment at all times.
• Adhere to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily operational targets.

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift in a warehouse, yard or industrial environment.
• Experience handling heavy materials is highly desirable.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Manual handling experience is advantageous.
