Hours: 5 Days Over 7, 9:00am – 6:00pm

Warehouse Operative

 

Food service distributor is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join its busy Dublin 12 distribution centre. Working as part of a fast-paced warehouse team, you will be responsible for picking, preparing and handling customer orders, ensuring products are ready for dispatch on schedule.

 

The role involves working across ambient, chilled and freezer environments, so you should be comfortable working in different temperatures. Your someone who takes pride in doing a job properly, works well as part of a team and is looking for the stability of a long-term warehouse career.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Pick and assemble customer orders accurately across ambient, chilled and freezer warehouse environments.
  • Prepare completed orders for dispatch, ensuring the correct products and quantities are selected.
  • Work efficiently to achieve agreed warehouse productivity, accuracy and performance targets.
  • Check products and orders carefully to minimise picking errors and support high levels of customer service.
  • Operate warehouse equipment and scanning technology safely and correctly.
  • Handle, move and store stock in accordance with manual handling procedures and company guidelines.
  • Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety and operational procedures while working within the warehouse.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment at all times.
  • Report damaged stock, discrepancies or operational issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Support stock movement and general warehouse activities when required.
  • Take responsibility for completing assigned duties accurately and within the required timeframes.
  • Contribute to a positive, productive and safety-focused warehouse environment.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Previous experience working as a Warehouse Operative, Order Picker, Picker Packer or within a similar warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience within foodservice, FMCG, logistics or a high-volume distribution centre would be beneficial.
  • Availability to work a 5 days over 7 shift pattern between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm.
  • Comfortable working across ambient, chilled and freezer areas as required.
  • Physically capable of completing a hands-on warehouse role involving regular movement and manual handling.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail when picking and preparing customer orders.
  • Ability to work towards productivity targets and meet daily operational deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused approach.
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining consistent standards of work.
  • Strong awareness of workplace Health & Safety procedures.
  • Willingness to learn warehouse systems, processes and scanning technology.
  • Flexibility to support different areas of the warehouse depending on operational requirements.
