Role: Rigid Driver (Full EU C Licence)

Salary: €750pw-€800pw

Duration: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Location: Parkwest, Dublin

Rigid Driver (Full EU C Licence)

 

Opportunity for a Rigid driver to join a company that values its drivers in Parkwest Dublin. Join our growing logistics operation delivering, collecting and transporting goods for variety of commercial clients across Dublin and throughout Ireland.

 

Consistently moving servicing a variety of clients, you could be completing local multi-drop deliveries on day and covering long-distance routes the next. Some days finish earlier, while others may require a slightly later finish helping keep the role varied and engaging.

 

You will be operating a modern curtain-sided rigid vehicle, so previous experience with this type of vehicle is highly desirable. At most customer sites, loading and unloading will be carried out by forklift operators. Where this isn't available you will use the vehicles tail lift and manual pallet truck to safely complete deliveries and collections.,

Responsibilities

 

• Safely operate a rigid curtain-side vehicle for deliveries and collections.
• Transport, sort, and distribute goods on behalf of a diverse range of commercial clients.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries and collections across Dublin and nationwide locations.
• Ensure goods are delivered and collected accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Adhere to all road traffic regulations, company policies, and health and safety procedures.
• Secure loads appropriately and ensure the safe transportation of goods.
• Liaise professionally with customers and warehouse personnel during deliveries and collections.
• Use the vehicle's tail lift and a manual pallet truck to load or unload goods when forklift assistance is not available on-site.
• Accurately complete delivery documentation and obtain proof of delivery where required.
• Manage daily routes effectively while adapting to varying schedules and delivery requirements.

 

Requirements

 

• Full EU Category C driving licence
• Valid CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
• Experience operating a curtain-side rigid truck
• Good spoken and written English
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• EU passport or Irish citizen
