Supply Planner

 

Leading pharmaceutical company in Meath is seeking an experienced Supply Planner to join its dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment within the pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products through the supply chain, from procurement to delivery.

The Supply Planner will be responsible for managing inventory levels, forecasting demand, and coordinating with various departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supply planning within the pharmaceutical sector and be able to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in supply chain management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain supply plans to meet customer demand and minimise stockouts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products.
  • Analyse demand forecasts and adjust supply plans accordingly to meet changing customer needs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to prevent disruptions.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply issues.
  • Implement and maintain supply chain best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in supply planning within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
