Flat Bed Rigid Driver
Exciting opportunity has opened for a skilled Flat Bed Rigid Driver in Cork. This position offers a competitive starting rate of €17.35 per hour, with overtime paid at time and a half, paid weekly. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, with shifts from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day. If you have experience operating a crane, it would be a valuable asset to your application, though it is not essential as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a flat bed rigid truck for the transport of goods and materials across designated routes.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring secure and balanced load distribution for transit.
- If trained, operate an on-board crane to assist with loading and unloading; otherwise, assist with manual or assisted unloading as needed.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks, including safety inspections, before and after trips.
- Follow all traffic and safety regulations, adhering to local road and worksite standards.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections, including mileage logs and delivery confirmations.
- Collaborate with dispatch and warehouse teams to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients and site personnel.
Requirements:
- A valid C rigid driving licence with up-to-date CPC certifications.
- Previous experience driving flat bed rigid trucks, with familiarity with load management.
- Advantageous: experience operating a crane for loading and unloading purposes
- Good knowledge of Cork and surrounding areas to facilitate efficient route planning.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Physical ability to manage manual loading/unloading if required.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
