Experienced Machine Operator

Unique Opportunity has opened to work in one of Irelands Leading distributors of machinery in their sector. They are searching for an experienced machine operative to work in their state-of-the-art warehouse. Join this growing company who have been involved in supplying their customers with some of the biggest brands in the industry for the last 50 years. As the successful candidate, you will need to possess both a valid Counterbalance license and a Reach Truck certificate. Your responsibilities will include general yard and warehouse management tasks, such as unloading supplier vehicles, booking in stock, and storing machinery in designated areas of the yard. You will be heavily involved in operating machinery to ensure efficient handling and storage of materials. Additionally, you will be required to adhere to the company's strict health and safety policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and production areas.
  • Unloading goods via the counterbalance from suppliers.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety Policies.
  • Move and handle equipment safely and securely within the warehouse/ yard environment.
  • Following all workplace safety standards, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Performing general warehouse and yard duties when required.
  • Assist with booking in products by recording stock movements and reporting discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • Manual Handling Certificate Preferred.
  • Valid Counterbalance License Essential.
  • Valid Reach Truck License Mandatory.
  • Gantry Crane Experience a distinct advantage.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliable attendance.
  • Strong commitment to safety of yourself and others.
  • Good Knowledge of machinery and Farming Practices.
  • Be physically fit and capable of lifting to 15kg consistently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
