General Operative/Van Driver

Unique position has opened to work for one of Irelands leading Suppliers in a thriving industry. They are seeking an experienced General Operative with a valid Forklift Certificate/Van Driver based in North Dublin, who has a good geographical knowledge of North Dublin specifically and can also apply their skills in a warehouse environment. This position offers a full time Permanent contract working Monday to Friday.

For this position you must hold a Full B driving license, Valid forklift License, and a manual handling certificate. As this role is mixed you will be required to take part in warehouse activities which will include picking, packing, operating the forklift to assist with the loading of goods and other general warehouse duties with which you are tasked. In addition to the warehouse tasks, you will also be expected to assist with deliveries and collections using the company van when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the company van for collections, pickups, and deliveries to customer sites across Dublin.
• Communicate with customers during deliveries to ensure excellent service.
• Operate the counterbalance forklift to load and unload products for dispatch.
• Assist with general warehouse duties, which include picking and packing orders for dispatch.
• Support other departments when required including goods In and stock control teams.
• Maintain a clean, organised warehouse in compliance with company health and safety policies.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management.
• Follow the companies standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

• Full B EU driving license.
• Valid Counterbalance Certificate.
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Good knowledge of Dublin and surrounding areas for efficient deliveries.
• Strong teamwork and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, multi-tasked, and punctual.
