Inventory Manager

Managing stock across multiple locations is a complex task—and for someone with a keen eye for accuracy, detail, and systems, it’s a rewarding challenge. This Inventory Manager opportunity offers the chance to step into a pivotal role where no two days are the same. Based in either Dublin or Galway, the successful candidate will oversee inventory levels across a central warehouse and several satellite sites. While this is not a people management role, it demands excellent coordination skills and strong technical capability to track, analyse, and streamline inventory movement and storage.

This position suits someone who enjoys working independently and is ready to take ownership of inventory planning and control. The role involves consistent engagement with operational teams, suppliers, and third-party logistics partners to ensure that stock levels are balanced, lead times are optimised, and any discrepancies are quickly resolved. Proficiency with the Intact WMS is essential, as is a strong command of Excel for data reporting and inventory analysis. The company offers excellent benefits and a strong culture of professional development, making this a long-term opportunity to thrive within a dynamic and growing supply chain environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage stock levels across a central warehouse and multiple satellite locations
  • Ensure inventory records are accurate and up-to-date using Intact WMS
  • Conduct regular stock reconciliations and investigations into variances
  • Monitor and report on inventory KPIs, such as stock turnover and accuracy
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to manage inbound and outbound flows
  • Analyse inventory data in Excel to forecast demand and optimise stock holdings
  • Maintain clear and structured documentation to support audits and compliance
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce inventory holding costs
  • Support internal stakeholders with stock-related queries and reporting requirements
  • Work closely with third-party logistics providers to align inventory processes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in inventory control or stock management within a warehouse or multi-site operation
  • Strong working knowledge of Intact WMS
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks across multiple locations
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong communication skills to liaise across teams and with external partners
  • Familiarity with inventory performance metrics and reporting standards
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • A proactive mindset and a continuous improvement approach
