HIAB Rigid Driver
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and safety-conscious HIAB Rigid Driver to join a reputable logistics operation delivering essential materials to construction sites throughout Munster. The position offers a structured working week with generous overtime, making it ideal for experienced drivers seeking stability, strong earning potential, and a Monday-to-Friday routine.
Working within a well-established team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and secure transportation of construction materials using a rigid vehicle equipped with a lorry-mounted crane (HIAB). This role demands a high level of operational awareness, attention to safety protocols, and a solid understanding of construction site delivery requirements. While covering sites across Munster, drivers will be supported by a logistics coordinator to ensure optimal route planning and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a rigid vehicle fitted with a lorry-mounted HIAB crane to deliver construction materials across Munster
- Carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly
- Load and unload goods using HIAB in line with safety standards and site procedures
- Liaise with site personnel to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials
- Maintain delivery documentation and follow route schedules efficiently
- Adhere to all road safety and company compliance requirements
- Assist with general logistics duties as required to support the wider team
Requirements:
- Full, valid C licence with up-to-date CPC and Digi Tacho card
- HIAB lorry-mounted crane operation (Training Provided)
- Strong knowledge of the Cork/Munster region and its road network
- Proven track record of safe driving and punctuality
- Ability to manage physical demands of the role, including manual loading/unloading
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Flexibility to work overtime when required, with time and a half paid for additional hours
