HIAB Flatbed Truck Driver
Well-established logistics and distribution operation based in West Cork is seeking a qualified and reliable HIAB Flatbed Truck Driver to join its delivery team. This is a full-time, permanent position for a motivated individual who excels in customer interaction and is committed to maintaining high safety and operational standards.
Operating Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, the position totals 42.5 hours per week.. With 39 hours at a standard rate and 3.5 hours of paid overtime at 1.5x, the gross weekly wage amounts to €800.48. This equates to a projected gross annual salary of €41,624.96, offering stable and predictable earnings within a consistent schedule.
You will be responsible for operating a HIAB flatbed truck, delivering goods safely and efficiently and upholding customer service excellence during each delivery. This role includes responsibilities in both driving and yard support, demanding a strong commitment to cleanliness, safety procedures, and professional service.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a HIAB flatbed truck for timely and secure deliveries within Cork and nearby regions.
- Deliver exceptional service to customers, ensuring professionalism in every interaction.
- Oversee the safe loading, unloading, and securing of loads using HIAB equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment both in the vehicle and yard areas.
- Follow all operational, safety, and legal requirements relevant to driving and delivery.
- Accurately complete delivery records and any required documentation.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to streamline delivery processes.
Requirements:
- Valid and clean C Driving Licence (essential).
- Up to date CPC and Tachograph card.
- Operating HIAB equipment and flatbed trucks.( training provided)
- Strong knowledge of health and safety standards in logistics environments.
- Reliable timekeeping and route planning capabilities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A self-motivated team player with a proactive work ethic.
- Willingness to work overtime when required during weekday hours.
