Hours: Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00, 10:00-18:00
Warehouse Dispatch Operative
Leading Packaging company with a presence across Europe and the United States are searching for a Warehouse Dispatch operative. With competitive pay rates and working on a rotating shift Monday to Friday this role is ideal for you to take the next step in your career. While holding a VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) license is required, training can be provided. However, candidates must possess a valid Counterbalance certificate.
Your primary responsibilities will be to ensure the efficient and safe handling of products within the warehouse, from receiving to dispatch. You will be integral to maintaining high standards of warehouse operations and ensuring timely deliveries across Ireland and Europe, including clearing customs. Your role will involve accurate documentation and compliance with all customs requirements. Your ability to perform these tasks efficiently and safely is essential to uphold the company's operational standards.
In addition to handling products, you will operate the counterbalance to load materials for international shipment. This involves ensuring each parcel meets requirements such as appropriate labelling for customs compliance and accurately filled paperwork. Effective communication with key stakeholders is vital to ensure all specifications are met, making you integral to the smooth operation of the warehouse dispatch process.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the safety always of all in the immediate work environment through the adherence to safe working practices while operating any mechanically operated equipment and vehicles.
- Completion of work activities as directed inclusive of receiving products from production, checking, picking, loading, unloading, material returns as efficiently as practical while ensuring you do so in a safe & careful manner.
- Planning of daily transport requirements across Ireland and UK to ensure timely deliveries to customers.
- Issuing and verifying of dispatch notes, invoices, and customs documents.
- Communicating with internal customer service, transport providers and customers on daily basis via email and phone to ensure timely deliveries.
- Liase with the key stakeholders to ensure the relevant documents are completed.
Requirements:
- VNA Certificate Preferred
- Counterbalance License Required.
- Previous Experience working within the logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of PC Skills with a good understanding of Microsoft office and ERP Systems
- Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of manual handling tasks.
- Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of Customs Procedures a distinct advantage.
