Warehouse Manager
Established third-party logistics (3PL) provider is seeking a driven and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at its bustling distribution centre in City West. This is a strategic role focused on ensuring the smooth and efficient running of warehouse activities in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. With a strong reputation in the logistics sector, the organisation offers a supportive atmosphere, robust infrastructure, and ample scope for professional development.
You should be a confident leader with a deep understanding of warehouse operations, team management, and health & safety regulations. The role requires an individual who thrives under pressure, embraces continuous improvement, and demonstrates a hands-on approach to operational challenges. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Warehouse Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving service excellence and driving operational efficiency across the site.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse supervisors and operatives.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
- Oversee stock control, inventory accuracy, and systems reporting.
- Collaborate with transport, customer service, and supply chain teams to optimise workflow.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and service level agreements.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations and service delivery.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for warehouse operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager within a 3PL or large-scale distribution centre.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and logistics software.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the changing demands of a dynamic environment.
- Relevant qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or similar disciplines (desirable).
