Rigid Driver
Logistics operation in North Dublin is seeking experienced Rigid Drivers to join a busy and dynamic team. Offering a competitive salary and strong benefits package, this position suits licensed professionals with a strong driving record and the motivation to progress within a growing business. Successful candidates will demonstrate competence driving on the left-hand side of the road using right-hand steer vehicles, experience driving on Irish or UK road networks is preferred.
The role operates on a rotating five-day roster over seven days, with most shifts starting from 05:00. Drivers must be confident operating solo, demonstrate awareness of safety standards, and be proactive in route planning. This is a fast-paced yet supportive environment where internal advancement is encouraged. Induction includes a structured interview and driving assessment process, followed by completion of a health screening form and reference checks. This ensures both high standards and safety, reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Complete multi-drop deliveries efficiently and safely across assigned routes
- Conduct vehicle safety checks and maintain compliance with road safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients for real-time updates
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of deliveries
- Represent the company professionally during all interactions
- Support warehouse staff during loading and unloading when required
- Follow all standard operating procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
Requirements:
- Full C Licence, up to date CPC and digital tachograph card
- Proven experience driving right-hand steer trucks on left-hand traffic roads
- Confidence in navigating Irish or UK roads – lessons advised if lacking direct experience
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and customer service orientation
- Satisfactory completion of interview, driving assessment, and health screening
- Ability to provide sufficient and verifiable references
- Commitment to career growth and progression within the company
