Logistics Administrator
Busy and fast-paced logistics operation is seeking a confident and capable Administrator to support daily operations during the peak period leading up to January. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has a keen eye for detail.
Working within a dynamic team, the Administrator will play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth flow of logistics operations. With multiple deliveries and collections taking place each day, this position demands excellent communication skills, reliability, and the ability to multi-task under pressure. This temporary role is ideal for someone with previous administrative experience, especially within logistics or transport, who is immediately available and looking for a short-term contract.
Responsibilities:
- Communicating effectively with drivers to confirm schedules, routes, and delivery details
- Managing inboxes and responding to email enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Liaising with internal departments and external partners to coordinate logistics activities
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation, including driver logs and delivery reports
- Supporting the dispatch team with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Escalating any issues or delays to relevant team members to ensure swift resolution
- Assisting in the preparation of reports and documentation for management review
- Using internal systems to track shipments and monitor delivery performance
Requirements:
- Proven administrative experience, ideally within a logistics or transport environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence handling calls and emails
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and documentation
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexible approach to tasks and willingness to support colleagues during peak periods
- Immediate availability and commitment to work until January
