Warehouse Operative
Long-standing North Dublin based logistics operation is on the lookout for a driven, hands‑on Warehouse Operative to strengthen their warehouse team. This role suits someone who thrives in a structured, energetic environment and enjoys practical, hands‑on work.
You will be at the centre of daily warehouse operations; handling freight, preparing goods for export, and ensuring everything flows safely and efficiently. Your role will play an important part in maintaining steady warehouse operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical, practical work and excels in a busy environment where accuracy matters.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks, vans and incoming freight.
- Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to complete daily tasks and record accurate data.
- Handle, sort and organise all freight to ensure smooth warehouse flow.
- Measure, scan and weigh shipments with precision to prepare goods for export.
- Review manifests and documentation, promptly reporting any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, always organised and safety‑focused working environment.
- Adhere to all warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and operational guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and supervisors to support smooth daily operations.
- Take on additional general warehouse duties as required to support the wider team.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is beneficial, though not essential.
- Strong focus on accuracy when measuring, weighing and checking freight.
- Able to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Valid Counterbalance licence is essential for this position.
- Comfortable performing manual handling and other physical duties.
- Clear communication skills and a cooperative, team‑focused approach.
- Dependable, punctual and open to learning new tasks.
- Full driving licence is an advantage but not required.
- Willing to work overtime when business needs arise.
