You will provide essential support within a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. You’ll process purchase orders efficiently and accurately, while adhering to agreed stock levels and establish inventory controls. You will have strong system proficiency, solid numerical capability and a clear understanding of how precise ordering, forecasting and stock availability contribute to overall sales performance. You’ll play a vital part in the smooth, day‑to‑day functioning of the buying team.
Responsibilities
- Process purchase orders quickly and accurately, aligned with stock parameters.
- Action auto‑replenishment orders and ensure timely execution.
- Maintain accurate order entry and follow up on outstanding orders.
- Support sales forecasting through analysis of historical data and current trading.
- Use forecasts to inform order quantities and replenishment decisions.
- Monitor stock‑to‑sales ratios and highlight over‑ or under‑stocking risks.
- Support strong inventory controls and maintain clear visibility of stock commitments.
- Ensure all orders comply with agreed Open‑to‑Buy limits.
- Use inventory, planning and forecasting systems confidently.
- Maintain high standards of data accuracy and system integrity.
- Provide reliable administrative support to the buying team, including during peak trading periods.
Requirements
- Experience in a purchasing, buying administration or stock‑focused role.
- Skilled in processing purchase orders within a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Confident in forecasting sales with accuracy and using data to inform decisions.
- Familiarity with auto‑replenishment processes and related planning, forecasting, and inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
- Naturally analytical with solid numerical ability.
- Effective at working quickly and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Organised, methodical and process‑driven in approach.
- Reliable, proactive and composed under pressure.
