Warehouse Supervisor
Established trade supplies distributor located in Dublin 22, is seeking a capable and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to strengthen its warehouse operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading a team and working in a busy environment. The successful candidate will need proven experience supervising staff within a high‑volume distribution setting, a strong working knowledge of warehouse management systems and the confidence to monitor key performance metrics and support training needs across the team.
You will take ownership of ensuring all inventory is managed safely, accurately and efficiently within the distribution centre, working to meet operational deadlines while maintaining a strong commitment to Health & Safety. In this position, you will oversee pick‑rates, order accuracy and on‑time despatch, taking responsibility for performance standards in each area. You will also deliver training in line with company procedures and contribute to the ongoing development and progression of team members.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring daily targets are consistently met.
- Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety procedures, maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
- Implement performance improvements to increase productivity, reduce operational costs and support overall goals.
- Maintain high stock accuracy by monitoring inventory levels, resolving discrepancies and keeping clear, reliable records.
- Oversee workflows across goods in, goods out, picking, packing and inventory to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Assist with scheduled stock takes and regular cycle counts.
- Monitor KPI performance, identifying any decline and taking corrective action to restore and improve results.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years’ experience supervising teams within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong leadership abilities with a practical, hands‑on management style.
- Solid knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory control, and Health & Safety practices.
- Confidence in reviewing performance metrics and using KPIs to drive improvements.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to solve problems and communicate effectively.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.
- Adaptable and reliable, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
- A forklift licence is an advantage but not required.
