Production Coordinator
Well established vehicle maintenance company based in Dublin 22 is seeking a production coordinator to join it’s team and help deliver an excellent service experience to customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in a customer-facing role, along with strong skills in pricing, estimating, assessing work requirements and preparing customer quotations. Knowledge of car, truck mechanics service and maintenance will be a significant advantage for this position.
You will review inspectors’ estimates to ensure they meet key performance standards, taking corrective action when they don’t. Customer quotations must be discussed and adjusted according to their instructions, with clear approval secured before any work begins. You will work with the administration team ensuring accounts are in good standing and vehicles are cleared for production. You will source spare parts from internal teams and external vendors, ensuring the workflow runs smoothly. Each quotation must follow the company’s process before being passed to the workshop foreman for scheduling. You will collaboration with inspectors ensures inspections are completed in full and estimates are ready on time. Your daily tasks will include sending and following up on parts requisitions, tracking work in progress and vehicles on site and working with the administration team to ensure vehicles are returned to customers promptly & in good condition.
Responsibilities:
- Review inspectors’ estimates to ensure they meet performance standards and take corrective action when required.
- Discuss quotations with customers, make adjustments based on their instructions and secure approval before work begins.
- Coordinate with the administration team to confirm accounts are within terms and vehicles are cleared for production.
- Source spare parts from internal teams and external vendors, arranging delivery or collection to keep work moving smoothly.
- Ensure all quotations follow the company’s process before submitting them to the workshop foreman for scheduling.
- Work closely with inspectors to confirm inspections are completed and estimates are ready for review.
- Send and follow up on parts requisitions to maintain progress on all jobs.
- Track daily work in progress and all vehicles on site.
- Support the administration team to ensure vehicles are returned to customers promptly and in good condition.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a customer‑facing role, with proven ability in pricing, estimating, quantifying work requirements, and preparing customer quotations.
- Level 7 or higher qualification in business, management, or a related field.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Knowledge of HGV trailer ABS and EBS systems is an advantage.
- Strong technology literacy with confidence using computer systems and software tools.
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
- Solid problem‑solving ability and a proactive approach to challenges.
