Warehouse Team Lead
Rapidly growing e‑commerce company is on the lookout for a motivated and highly capable Warehouse Team Lead to help drive the next phase of their success. The successful candidate should be someone who can inspire a team, communicate with confidence and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves in a high‑energy warehouse setting. This role calls for a natural problem‑solver who can confidently guide staff, uphold excellent operational standards, and keep productivity, safety and workflow running at peak performance. A valid Counterbalance forklift licence is required and experience with a man‑up forklift will give you an added edge.
You will play a central part in a fast-moving environment where your ideas and efforts truly matter. You’ll take charge of daily planning, support your team through coaching & development and champion continuous improvement to keep operations running smoothly. You’ll oversee performance levels, ensure strict Health & Safety compliance and handle challenges with a calm, professional approach. Responsibilities:
- Taking charge of the daily operations within the warehouse, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on schedule
- Monitoring order flow, pick performance, and overall team output to maintain high productivity levels
- Guiding, mentoring, and supporting warehouse staff to help them grow and succeed
- Making sure every section of the warehouse is properly staffed and functioning efficiently
- Upholding strict Health & Safety standards throughout the facility
- Collaborating effectively with other departments to help deliver a seamless customer experience
- Managing queries or concerns with professionalism and escalating issues when appropriate
- Spotting operational challenges, risks, or inefficiencies and driving effective solutions
- Assisting with hands‑on warehouse tasks when required, including operating forklifts
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of proven experience leading teams in a warehouse or supervisory setting
- Valid Counterbalance forklift licence required; man‑up certification is a strong plus
- Excellent communication abilities paired with confident, effective leadership
- Skilled at organising workloads, monitoring performance, and keeping operations on track
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices within a warehouse environment
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-moving operational setting
- Dependable, well‑organised, and proactive with strong problem‑solving skills
- A positive, people-focused mindset with the ability to inspire and develop others
- Willingness to take on a range of warehouse tasks when needed
