Counterbalance Forklift Operator

Well established paint and coatings supplier in Dublin 12 is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join their busy and friendly warehouse team. This is a business with a strong reputation for supplying high-quality paints, coatings and decorating products to trade customers, contractors and small businesses across the region. You will be at the heart of the warehouse, ensuring that stock moves efficiently from delivery through to dispatch. Every day you’ll handle goods-in, move and store stock using your counterbalance forklift and prepare customer orders with care and precision. Your work will directly impact contractors and decorators who rely on timely deliveries to keep their projects on track. You will also interact with customers and internal teams to resolve order queries, confirm stock availability, and ensure high levels of service. Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift throughout the warehouse
• Unload deliveries from trucks and trailers and move goods to the correct storage areas
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Organise and store stock in the correct locations to maintain inventory accuracy
• Check incoming deliveries against delivery notes and report any discrepancies
• Communicate with customers and internal sales teams to confirm stock availability and resolve order queries
• Support general warehouse duties including loading, packing and housekeeping
• Maintain excellent safety, cleanliness and housekeeping standards across the warehouse
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks to keep the warehouse running efficiently

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance forklift licence
• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse environment
• A Bendi forklift licence is a plus but not essential
• Strong attention to detail when handling stock and fulfilling orders
• Experience liaising with customers or internal teams to resolve order queries
• Good understanding of warehouse safety practices and health & safety compliance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet operational targets
• Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
• Comfortable with manual handling and physically active work
• Good communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude
