General Operative

Global supplier in the protective coatings industry, operating from their Dublin 12 site, is looking for a motivated General Operative to join their fast‑moving warehouse team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work in a busy distribution environment and wants to contribute to a company that prides itself on efficiency, quality and strong operational performance. A valid, in‑date Counterbalance Forklift licence is essential for this position.

You will support a wide range of warehouse activities including order picking, packing, goods receiving, pallet preparation and general stock organisation. You’ll help ensure products are stored correctly, assist in preparing orders for dispatch and maintain accurate stock records using handheld scanners or basic warehouse systems. Your work will play a key role in keeping operations moving smoothly across the site.

You’ll work closely with the warehouse team to coordinate tasks, avoid delays and make sure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. Full training on internal processes and product handling will be provided. A key part of the role involves maintaining a well organised and safe warehouse by keeping aisles clear, reporting damaged goods and following all site procedures. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants a stable, long‑term role in a supportive and well-structured environment where teamwork keeps the operation running at pace.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack and prepare customer orders with accuracy
  • Support goods‑in activities including unloading, checking and storing materials
  • Complete pallet preparation and organise stock in designated warehouse locations

  • Assist with preparing outbound orders for timely and accurate dispatch
  • Maintain stock organisation across the warehouse to ensure easy access and smooth workflow
  • Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and safe by following site procedures
  • Report damaged stock or equipment issues promptly
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to coordinate tasks and avoid delays

Requirements

  • Valid, in‑date Counterbalance Forklift licence
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Comfortable with manual handling and physical, hands‑on work
  • Ability to follow instructions and established warehouse procedures
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate picking, packing and stock handling
  • Basic IT or scanner experience for recording stock movements
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good level of organisation and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Strong awareness of safety practices within a warehouse environment
  • Flexibility to assist across different warehouse tasks as needed
  • Full driving licence is an advantage but not essential
